Feed calculation for a single point diamond dresser:
Vd = 1/2 * Grit size [mm] * Ns [1/min] à 1 * Grit size [mm] * Ns [Tr/min]
Example :
Grain FEPA 80 = 180 μm ==> 0.18mm
Ns : 1410 tr/min
Vd = 1/2 * 0.180 * 1410 = 130 mm/min
Vd = 0.18 * 1410 = 260 mm/min
Vd = 130 – 260 mm/min
The shank must be as short as possible.
The shank must be positioned with a -3° to -10° vertical angle and a 3° to 15° lateral angle.
When a flat appears at the top of the diamond, turn the shank of 90° before continuing the dressing operation
